There are many ways in which our young people are being let down by the government, and perhaps most stark is the lack of funding into mental health services.

Research done by The Labour Party has highlighted the dire state of mental health services for young people with almost 1/3rd of young people being turned away by Solent NHS trust despite being referred to services by a professional.

Similar numbers are being seen across the country and These alarming figures highlight the Tory legacy in looking after our children and their health.

In the light of the pandemic, with even more children expected to access mental health services, it simply isn’t acceptable that 29 per cent of children are being turned away.

The Government needs to sit up and take action, to ensure everyone can access the mental health services they desperately need, as soon as they need them.
