Some meetings from Alan's diary this week...

29th June -5th July 2009

On Monday Alan will meet Alice Wrighton, Taunton’s College Principal, to discuss building plans before catching the train up to London for a roundtable on the environmental impacts of bottled water and a meeting with some Mexican civil servants regarding industrial symbiosis.  In the evening, Alan is chairing an Associate Parliamentary Renewable and Sustainable Energy Group seminar on energy storage and attending the launch of Carbon Connect, at which Ed Miliband will be speaking.

On Tuesday, Alan will attend two weekly select committee meetings - Justice Select Committee and Standards and Privileges Select Committee, as well as the launch of the ‘low earners through recession and recovery’ project and an All Party Parliamentary Group for Balanced and Sustainable Communities reception.  Alan also has meetings with the British Metals Recycling Association, the Electoral Commission Parliamentary Advisory Group and the All Party Parliamentary Group for the Wood Panel Industry.

On Wednesday Alan will attend his third select committee meeting of the week - the Energy & Climate Change Select Committee, and then chair an Associate Parliamentary Renewable and Sustainable Energy Group Wind Forum.  After Prime Minister’s Questions, Alan will meet with Recycle Bank and Veolia to discuss waste issues and attend a reception to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Credit Unions.  

On Thursday Alan will chair a roundtable on sustainable buildings and IT.

On Friday Alan will meet a Southampton City Council family workers to discuss a Government funded Family Rights Group project, which works with children in care and their families.  He will then hold his first constituency surgery of the week.

On Saturday Alan will hold his second constituency surgery of the month.
