- Monday- meeting with Principal, Taunton’s College; chairing Associate Parliamentary Renewable and Sustainable Energy Group seminar on the Renewable Energy Strategy; attending a panel debate at LSE entitled ’20 years after the collapse of the Iron Curtain: have our dreams come true?’
- Tuesday- Standards and Privileges Select Committee and Justice Select Committee meetings. Universities UK launch of ‘Economic Impact of UK Higher Education Institutions ‘09’ report. UK Parliamentary Football Club event.
- Wednesday- Energy and Climate Change Select Committee meeting. British Electrotechnical Industry Association update on climate change campaign. Meeting with the Southampton Amnesty International group. National Energy Action event. Chairing Associate Parliamentary Renewable and Sustainable Energy Group seminar on smart grids. Meeting regarding the Severn Barrage and wind and tidal energy.
- Thursday- meeting with the Alliance of Beverage Cartons for the Environment regarding packaging and the environment. Debate on Copenhagen talks in the Commons.
- Friday- meeting with Eco-Power regarding energy efficient street lighting. Meeting with John Denham MP and Chief Superintendent Matthew Greening (Commander in charge of policing in Southampton). Sixth constituency surgery of the month.
- Saturday- seventh constituency surgery of the month. Southampton Solent University Graduation event.
- Sunday- remembrance Service at the Cenotaph, Southampton. Meeting residents in Bevois ward.
