Redbridge Community School was confirmed as one of the best schools in the country based for raising standards, based on the Key Stage 2-4 Contextual Value Added measure (which measures how much students improve and takes into account external factors such as deprivation).
Upper Shirley High was confirmed as one of best based on a measure of sustained improvement in 5+ A*s-C GCSEs (and equivalent) including English and Maths.

“Well done to both the teachers and the students at Redbridge and Upper Shirley High. The results from both schools show we can make real difference to the educational results for all young people, whatever their background.”
