9th Annual Report published
24th January 2007
Alan Whitehead MP today publishes his 9th Annual Report to constituents in Southampton Test.
The report shows what Dr Whitehead has been working on in Parliament and in Southampton in 2006, as well as a complete breakdown of his Parliamentary accounts for the 2005-6 financial year.
Dr Whitehead said:
“Transparency in how I work is very important. Every constituent in Southampton Test has the right to view my accounts and to see what I’ve been campaigning on.
“This year in Parliament I worked on bills to do with climate change, education and constitutional reform. I also worked on issues relating to recycling, housing and poverty reduction.
“In Southampton much of my time was spent campaigning to preserve important local community resources, like the General Hospital Eye Unit, St Mary’s Leisure Centre and the former Civil Service sports ground. And I continue to meet my constituents at my four regular surgeries and two ‘roving’ surgeries each month.
