'Parliament Talks Energy' Public Meeting a Big Hit!
May 15th 2012
On Monday 14th May, the Parliamentary Outreach service in partnership with the Energy and Climate Change Select Committee hosted a ‘Parliament Talks...’ session on Energy at Freemantle Community Centre, which I chaired.
'Parliament Talks...Energy’ is a series of free events and promotional activities highlighting Parliament's role in debating and challenging Government policy on energy but also to gauge the public’s views and their understanding of the energy industry.
I was pleased to see many residents attending and feeding into this important process. I will continue to fight hard to make sure that the views and concerns raised about a sustainable and fair energy industry are heard and acted upon by Parliament and the committee.
If you missed this session or you can always email me with your thoughts and I will feed these into my work with the committee.
