Alan backs Children's Heart Unit

Dr Alan Whitehead, Member of Parliament for Southampton Test, has backed the campaign to keep Southampton’s Paediatric Heart Unit open. Alan said:
“I first raised concerns about the future of Southampton’s paediatric heart unit with the Secretary of State back in 2009. At the time I raised concerns that the consultation placed too little emphasis on follow-up care, in which in the Southampton centre excels. I’ll continue to lobby the new Government to ensure these points are not forgotten.”
