Keeping you informed

on the recordMy job as your MP

As your MP, I get involved in a wide range of issues. Keeping you informed about what I'm involved in is very important to me, and so I've posted information to keep you up to date on this site. If you have any comments on ways of improving my communication with you, please let me know!

On the Record...

A lot of the things I've said or written can be found here:

"Even though we did not agree on the issues raised, you and your team provided a very good service by doing what you said you would do."

- Kevin, Freemantle

Yes it would!

It's not all serious stuff...

Being an MP involves listening to debates in parliament and taking part in them, which can be a little dry sometimes. Thankfully, my community work in Southampton is a refreshing change. I really enjoy visiting local schools and hospitals, meeting people, and I'm not above a bit of quiet fun on a bouncy castle!

If you would like me to visit your school or community group, do get in touch.

In any high-pressure job, it's important to eat well and exercise regularly. I try to do so, and I still play 5-a-side football, and play in goal for the House of Commons football team - a high standard of play, as I'm sure you can imagine!

Of course, as a Southampton local, I am a committed Saints supporter and make as much use of my season ticket as the job allows. I'm also a member of the Saints Trust. If nothing else, it reminds me that life really is hard after all!
