Alan Whitehead has now been appointed to the Joint Committee that will scrutinise the Climate Change Bill. You can now tell Alan what you think about different parts of the Bill.

Climate Change and Sustainable Energy Act 2006

Over the last year Alan has worked with Labour MP Mark Lazarowicz to get a Private Members Bill passed into law. The Climate Change and Sustainable Energy Act was finally passed in June 2006. You can read the story of the Bill below.

Campaign groups

Alan is the Chair of PRASEG, the Parliamentary Renewable and Sustainable Energy Group. The group includes MPs from all parties and works to promote sustainable energy issues inside and outside of Parliament.

SERA

 

Alan is also a member of SERA, the Socialist Environment and Resources Association. SERA works to promote sustainable energy policies within the government and the Labour Party.
