Alan responds to the Autumn Statement

Commenting after the Autumn Statement, Alan said:

“The Chancellor said in the Autumn Statement that the richest 20% will lose the most from his measures and that this shows we are all in it together. As with many other things, like the increase in borrowing under this government, he is being economical with the truth. His own Department’s analysis shows clearly that the poorest 20% of families will lose the biggest percentage of their income as a result of the policies he outlined today. It is plain that Osborne’s intention is that some are “in it” and others, like the high earners in our society, are not.”
